This year’s Outstanding Sustainability Leader, Hallie Lartius, was nominated by her supervisor, Blake Rupe. Blake speaks highly of her, saying, "Hallie single-handedly created, started, and is currently managing our University’s Underrepresented Students in Sustainability program. She noticed the lack of support and need for community that underrepresented communities at our University experience, and used her voice and position in our office to create a meaningful engagement program that answers this need. She continues to successfully recruit and engage with sustainability students and faculty mentors across campus, turning this program into one of the most successful in our office."
