Students from the UI College of Pharmacy and American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) are offering free blood pressure and blood glucose screenings throughout November and December to all UI faculty, staff, and students. Regular preventative health screenings can help lower your risk for chronic health conditions.
Screenings for hypertension are recommended for adults 18 years or older. Screenings for adults 40 years or older or adults with increased risk for hypertension are recommended at least once per yea.
Prediabetes and type 2 diabetes screenings are recommended for nonpregnant adults aged 35-70 who have overweight or obesity and no symptoms of diabetes.
Faculty and Staff: Stop by the liveWELL table after your screenings and receive information on well-being programs for UI faculty and staff. You will also receive a free gratitude journal while supplies last, and 50 wellness points to use in the online liveWELL store!
Mental Health @ Iowa stickers, magnets and business cards will be available for all attendees to take and share with classmates and collagues.
